Service #1 — Editorial Support
Manuscript Review: clear, honest feedback before you go any further.
This is a reader-first editorial pass. We read your manuscript the way a real reader will, but with an editor’s eye for structure, pacing, and clarity. You do not get line edits or tracked changes. You get something more valuable before you invest in those stages: a clear view of what is working, what is wobbling, and what needs attention next.
The goal is simple. When you sit down to revise, you are not guessing. You are working from a grounded, specific roadmap.
What You Receive
Editorial letter and practical notes
- • A clear, reader-first editorial letter (3–6 pages on average)
- • Notes on structure and pacing across the full manuscript
- • Observations on character movement and point of view
- • Genre and audience alignment: where the book fits, and where it drifts
- • Comments on opening strength and closing impact
- • Identification of recurring craft issues (if they show up)
- • Direct next-step recommendations for revision
- • Optional suggestions on when to move to copyediting or proofreading
You keep your original file. We do not make line edits inside your manuscript. All guidance arrives in a separate document so you can choose how to apply it.

Fit Check
Who this service is for (and not for)
This is a good fit if:
- • You have a complete draft and you are not sure if it is ready for editing.
- • You keep hearing, “I like it, but something feels off,” and you want specifics.
- • You want blunt, constructive guidance written in plain language.
- • You prefer to revise yourself once you know where the problems sit.
This is not the right fit if:
- • You want detailed line edits, grammar fixes, or proofreading.
- • The manuscript is still half-finished or more outline than draft.
- • You are looking for a guarantee of representation or publication.
- • You need us to rewrite or ghostwrite large portions of the book.

Questions
A few things writers often ask
Do you read every word of the manuscript?
Yes. This is not a skim. We read the full draft to understand how the story or argument lands from beginning to end.
Will you fix my grammar and typos?
Not in this service. We may note broad patterns if they affect readability, but detailed grammar work belongs to copyediting and proofreading.
What if my book is longer than 80,000 words?
Longer projects are still possible. We will quote an adjusted rate based on length and complexity. Mention your word count in your initial message.
Can this guarantee I will get an agent or publisher?
No. There are no guarantees in publishing. A clear, honest editorial review simply gives you a stronger draft and a more confident revision plan.
